Trade shows are always a great opportunity to meet others in the food industry, connect with customers and check out new products and innovation. 2022 was the first year the Planet Café brand has been showcased at the Lunch! contemporary food-to-go show at ExCeL London and what a show it was!
Our heat-in-pack range was on show in the hot hold unit and chilled grab-and-go fridge, alongside our exciting new ‘naked’ range designed for foodservice. This was also the first time we were able to show off our innovative ‘Shake It’ Salad Pots – one of which was entered into the Innovation Challenge. These grain salads are perfect for customers who want to have an extensive food-to-go product offering but manage their shelf life and waste.
Our second entry into the Innovation Challenge came with rave reviews from all who tasted it – even the initial skeptics! The Toffee Apple Custard Burrito offers a hot on the go dessert for consumers looking for an indulgent treat without any of the hassle. Sweet Vanilla Custard with Cinnamon, Bramley Apples and Sweet Caramel in a light Tortilla Wrap that when heated provides a lovely crispy texture.
